Chevrolet Passenger T5 Transmission Crossmember Kit (1949-1954)
Optimized for a 1949-1954 Chevy passenger car, this cross member is a slick and clean way to mount a S10 5-speed transmission behind your 6-cylinder engine. Our cross member is specially designed to fit around the transmission, holding it securely in place, and features a removable plate that allows for easy removal and installation of the transmission.
Our T5 transmission cross member can be bolted to the original cross member holes in the frame once the original cross member is removed. It does not hang below the frame rail. Boxing plates are included to tie back into the forward legs. The original emergency brake bars can also be removed and welded to the new cross member to retain emergency brake function.
Our transmission cross member kit includes:
– Cross member and transmission mount drop out
– (14) ⅜ – 16×1” cap screws
– (14) ⅜” lock washers
– (14) 3/8-16 nuts
– (2) 7/16 – 14×1” cap screws
– (2) 7/16 lock washers
– (2) 7/16 flat washers
– (1) Transmission mount
– (6) Box plates to weld to cross member legs

Every component of this kit is 100% made in the USA and has been crafted for a precise fit.
Please note that welding is required for installation.
This cross member does not fit 1949-1954 cars that have an x member frame.
