Passion & Performance
Hot Rod Works was started in 1996 by brothers Nick Smith and Ken Smith. After a lifetime of building and driving hot rods, they decided to open the doors of their own business. Their passion for hot rods extends to campaigning a real steel 1926 Ford roadster on the Bonneville Salt Flats where they have been successful in setting SCTA speed records.
Their real-world experience, along with their formal training in engineering and manufacturing, have enabled them to bring to market many unique Hot Rod components. By adding additional products from other quality manufactures, they have continued to provide quality components and service to the Hot Rod enthusiast.
New Owners, Same Quality Tradition
New owners: Ryan Reierson and his wife, Kristian.
We purchased Rodsville and Hot Rod Works in late 2023 and combined both companies so that we can supply our customers with great products that will be 100% made in the USA for years to come just as it has for the last 25+ years.
Our products are used on hot rods and race cars around the world, from our own Bonneville Salt Flats Roadster to John Mumford’s America’s Most Beautiful Roadster. HRW has built quick changes and early Ford banjo rear axles for cars that compete in The Great Race, One Lap of America, the Peking to Paris Rally and other endurance races. Our quick change and banjo rear axles are in vintage road racing cars, vintage dragsters, Bonneville race cars as well as hundreds of street driven hot rods.
We ship our hot rod parts and custom built machined parts throughout the world. Take a look around our web site and see why Hot Rod Works should be the people to call when you are building your ride!
