1948-1967 Chevrolet Pickup T5 Transmission Adapter (215AD)

This adapter is used to mount a 1982-1992 Chevrolet S10 transmission or Blazer 2-wheel drive transmission to your 1948-1967 Chevrolet pick-up bell housing.

The adapter positions the clutch disc in the proper place on the input shaft. No modifications are required on the input shaft or clutch disc for installation.

Our adapter kit includes:

2150 Adapter plate

(2) 1/2-13 x 2” cap screws

(2) 1/2-13x 2 1/2” cap screws

(2) 1/2-13 nuts

(4) ½” lock washers

– Installation Instructions

Every component of this kit is 100% made in the USA and has been carefully crafted for a precise fit.

Please note that a new clutch disc is required for the installation of a new transmission in your classic Chevrolet. This part is NOT included in our kit. In the instructions, we have listed part numbers for clutch discs of different diameters so you can match the size of your current disc.

PLEASE NOTE:

1) This transmission adapter kit requires a transmission with an input shaft length of 7 1/8” from the trans mounting surface to the end of the shaft. If your transmission input shaft is shorter, you should install an extended pilot bushing into the crank shaft.

2) If your transmission used a hydraulic throw out bearing, you can replace the front bearing retainer with one that has a conventional clutch release bearing sleeve if using a mechanical clutch. These are available from Hot Rod Works please click click here to view this product (SKU #: 2115).

3) On manual clutch applications the throw out bearing sleeve on the bearing retainer need’s to be shortened. This is included in the instructions.
